A new build on 2.09 acres in Aledo, just west of Fort Worth, with a view that runs about 20 miles. The builder sweated the details here, and it shows.
What stood out
Arched floor-to-ceiling windows across the living room.
A marble-veined kitchen island under brass pendants.
A marble apron-front farmhouse sink.
A soaking tub tucked into an arched window alcove in the owner's bath.
What I really loved
This one was all about the details, but I think my favorite part of this home was the dining room and the entrance to it. That massive symmetrical quad-archway framed up by the built-in refrigerator and the 3 walls of windows taking in light and 20-mile views around the table. That's hard to beat. Four Seasons is coming to Lake Austin
Four Seasons is building its first residential-only resort in the country, and it picked the shores of Lake Austin. Four Seasons Private Residences Lake Austin will cover 210 acres with 229 residences, delivery planned for 2029, and prices from $4.5 million to $35 million. Here is the twist: 174 of those 210 acres are slated to stay permanently undeveloped, along with 2,400 feet of shoreline. There is also a 39-slip private marina, so the boat you don't own yet has somewhere to park.
